Bill Dube Ford test drive raises funds for PCA

Saturday, June 11, 2011

DOVER - Bill Dube Ford and members of the local community raised $5,660 for Portsmouth Christian Academy's Senior Class at a recent test-drive event, as part of Ford Motor Company's Drive One 4 UR School program.

For each person who test-drove a Ford vehicle during the school's annual Spring Fling on May 20, Bill Dube Ford and Ford Motor Company donated $20 to the school to support the Senior Class trip. $1,890 of the total funds raised came from the Focus bonus test-drive where participants earned an extra $10 for the school by taking a second test-drive in an all-new 2012 Focus.

"We are thrilled that so many people from the local community turned out to support the Senior Class," said Debbie Dube Reed of Bill Dube Ford. "Participants had the chance to take a fun, casual drive in one of our vehicles and help an important cause at the same time. We wish all of PCA's graduating seniors the best of luck and hope they enjoy their trip."

Since the program's inception in 2007, Drive One 4 UR School has offered 275,000 test-drives at more than 1,500 events to generate over $5 million in donations for high schools nationwide. The money raised during the Drive One 4 UR School program has helped ensure that extracurricular actives like sports and music programs continue in local communities.

"We would like to thank Bill Dube Ford for once again sponsoring this great fundraising event," said Brian Bell, Head of School, Portsmouth Christian Academy. "It was a tremendous success and our students -- especially our seniors-- are sincerely grateful for the opportunity."
